Food truck style cuban sandwiches - PPP, freezer/slow cooker

Ingredients

  • 2-3 lb Chuck or shoulder roast trimmed
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 Green bell pepper sliced
  • 1.5 tsp Cumin
  • 2 Beef bouillon cube
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Orange juice
  • 3 tsp Lime juice
  • 1 package Hamburger buns
  • Provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. 1. Combine all ingredients in a gallon size zip-top bag. Label and freeze.
  2. 2. When ready to cook, thaw in refrigerator overnight.
  3. 3. Place contents of bag in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 4-5 hours or on high 3-4 hours.
  4. 4. Remove wings from slow cooker and place on a foil lined baking sheet. Broil 3-4 minutes on each side, or until desired crispness. Serve with extra barbecue sauce, if desired.
