Food truck style cuban sandwiches - PPP, freezer/slow cooker
Ingredients
- 2-3 lb Chuck or shoulder roast trimmed
- 1 onion sliced
- 1 Green bell pepper sliced
- 1.5 tsp Cumin
- 2 Beef bouillon cube
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1/4 cup Orange juice
- 3 tsp Lime juice
- 1 package Hamburger buns
- Provolone cheese
Instructions
- 1. Combine all ingredients in a gallon size zip-top bag. Label and freeze.
- 2. When ready to cook, thaw in refrigerator overnight.
- 3. Place contents of bag in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 4-5 hours or on high 3-4 hours.
- 4. Remove wings from slow cooker and place on a foil lined baking sheet. Broil 3-4 minutes on each side, or until desired crispness. Serve with extra barbecue sauce, if desired.
